A Death Elf who leads a tribe in the environs of Bluerock, and a mage of noteworthy skill, who figures as a critical plank in Plunk's plan to pluck Bluerock from its recent run of rotten luck.

Among her magical skills is what might be called the Withering Orgasm, which depletes her unfortunate sexual partner into a rotting corpse. The invocation of the spell connects and indeed engulfs the eyes of both participants with shafts of green lightning, but one suspects the spell's actual catalyst is elsewhere.

Moses and Plunk are introduced to her near the apex of one such ritual. Their (mostly Plunk's) supplication to aid Bluerock would have been summarily dismissed, had she not seen the opportunity to send them after the dragon troubling her cult. But even with their victory against the dragon, Chee'naia is not one for charity, and cruelly transmutes the entire population of Bluerock into gold.

Moses, desolate and enraged, leads an army of kobolds against the death elves, seeking revenge. Chee'naia eagerly takes the field, ripping kobolds apart with her magic (manifested as charged tendrils of energy that are physical enough to strike and tear at things, rather than zap them as ordinary lightning would). Though she proves vulnerable to a bunnywurm surprise attack and loses this battle, she is not vanquished entirely.

In Book 5, she resurfaces as one of Isabella's several successive captors, hinting at an alliance with the hellish forces of Lord Bahal.
